As oil ages and breaks down, it loses its friction-reducing capabilities, which increases wear within an engine. Changing oil regularly ensures that engine friction is kept at a minimum. By helping to reduce engine friction, engine oil naturally results in a decrease in engine operating temperatures. Regular oil changes also ensure that a vehicle’s engine has a steady supply of clean engine oil that is better able to flow and absorb engine-related heat, which reduces engine operating temperatures. Additionally, proper engine lubrication is vital to ensure the health and longevity of a vehicle’s engine; all internal engine parts require a thick coating of oil to function properly. Regular oil changes also help to prevent engine sludge from forming and help to remove sludge and particles from a vehicle’s engine once it has formed.

Engine Flush

An Engine Flush is just like it sounds; it flushes the gunk out of the engine. This service is usually performed at the same time as an oil change after the old oil has been drained, but before the new oil has been added. A cleaning agent is added and the engine is idled so the liquid reaches all the places oil would go. Cleaning out the engine helps your oil do its job by clearing it of deposits and particles that restrict oil flow, reduce mileage and gum up your engine’s working parts.

Without the Engine Flush, the new oil will just pick up many of the old deposits and sludge and keep them circulating through the engine, leaving the new oil is just as dirty as the old oil sooner than expected. An engine flush can help you go longer between oil changes, especially if the maintenance on the car hasn’t been perfect.

Additionally, there are particles in the engine smaller than even the best filter can catch. While oil is not always efficient enough in clearing these particles out, engine flush chemicals are, allowing the new oil to do its job.

Power Steering Fluid Flush

Vehicles that have a hydraulic power-steering system use power steering fluid. The fluid essentially works in conjunction with the power steering pump to make it easier for the driver to turn the steering wheel and, therefore, the vehicle. The high and low temperature changes cause fluid to degrade as well as cause friction wear within the pump itself. Additionally, as components wear, the fluid will become contaminated with metal and rubber particles, resulting in even more wear and costly repairs.

We provide a fluid exchange from the factory installed fluid to a full synthetic fluid, which provides added protection to the steering system. Simply put, this is an upgrade to the current steering fluid in a vehicle. We provide this service for most vehicles except mineral based steering systems.

Cooling System Fluid Flush

Cooling system failure is the #1 cause of on-road engine related breakdowns. Coolant wears out causing it to lose its protective qualities. When this happens, corrosion of the cooling system begins. Rust and scale may build up interrupting the proper flow of coolant. If the cooling system is not serviced, this can lead to overheating and expensive repairs. Regular cooling system maintenance helps prevent engine boil-over in the summer. and freeze up in the winter. Conventional cooling system service removes only a small portion of the old contaminated coolant. The large amount of old coolant that remains contaminates the new fluid, making the service less effective, and causing new deposits to build more quickly.

Most car makers today recommend coolant system maintenance about every 24,000 to 30,000 miles. The largest symptom suggesting cooling system issues is overheating.

  • Remove the old antifreeze and any contaminants.
  • Refill the system with new antifreeze coolant.
